- Keep the door or lid shut. A full, closed freezer stays cold far longer than one opened repeatedly.
- Check the power: the plug, the breaker and any isolator switch.
- If you have a second working freezer, move the most valuable or high-risk stock first.
- Check the food: ice crystals and hard food are a good sign.
- Write down the brand, model and any error code, and tell us when you book.
